Red Chillies Entertainment is an Indian motion picture production and distribution company founded on 7 May 2002 by Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan. The company also has a 55% stake in the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. Red Chillies Entertainment has formed a full-fledged film studio in India. The Studio’s activities span across creative development, production, marketing, distribution, licensing, merchandising and syndication of films in India and worldwide.

The first movie under Red Chillies banner was Main Hoon Na, produced in in 2004, and directed by Farah Khan. The company\’s 2nd release, the 2005 movie Paheli, was critically acclaimed and was selected as India\’s official entry to the 79th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category. The other prominent films were Om Shanti Om (2007), My name is khan (2010), Ra.One & Don 2 (2011), Student of the year (2012) and Chennai Express (2013)

Red Chillies Entertainment was ranked as the third, fifth and seventh most powerful production house in Bollywood in 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively.
